FOOD BOWLS MADE OUT OF NATURAL COCONUT SHELLS

This set consists two coconut food bowls, a natural one and one with a white varnish. Both bowls are suitable for food. The bowls are completely manufactured by hand. The natural bowl, which is just polished, is for hot beverages. The bowl, which is lacquered with white natural layers, is for cold beverages. This is a pure natural product. Each bowl is unique because a coconut does not follow rules of form and weight and grows the way it want. You will be surprised how light and space saving this stackable bowl is.

We get the bowls from a small company from Vietnam, where the coconut bowls are polished and varnished the traditional way. The varnish is a pure natural product, which comes from the lacquer tree and is mixed with clay, ground rocks and wood flour. It takes up to 50 days to apply 20 layers of varnish.

Care instructions: Not suitable for dish washer or microwave. This bowl is very sturdy but chemicals or rough treatment can wear off or scratch the varnish.
