A Coconut Bowl for Breakfast
A smoothie bowl provides your body with sufficient protein, carbohydrates and vitamins for a healthy start to the day. Of course, it is important not to use any additional sugar.
You can enjoy your smoothie bowl from a real coconut shell. Our coconut bowls are suitable for serving warm and cold dishes, for salads, snacks, ice cream, mueslis and raw food dishes (up to 42 °C / 107.6 °F). You shouldn't fill in food or liquids that are too hot, such as hot tea. The sudden temperature difference could lead to fine cracks.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl
You need the following ingredients:
- 10 fresh strawberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 200 ml almond milk or soy milk
- 1 tbsp oatmeal
- 1 tbsp roasted buckwheat
- 1 teaspoon flaxseed meal
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
For the topping you need:
- 4 strawberries
- a few slices of fresh banana or kiwi
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon of raw cocoa nibs
The strawberries are pureed with the frozen banana and milk using a hand blender, smoothie blender or stand mixer. The frozen banana makes the mixture really creamy. Put the oat flakes, the roasted buckwheat, the flaxseed meal and the hemp seeds in the coconut shell and pour the smoothie over them. Then you can decorate the whole thing nicely with the ingredients that are intended for the topping.
